SAILING
SQUADRON CONCERTS

The monthly Sailing Squadron Concerts are a Sarasota musical tradition. They are held in the idyllic Florida setting of the Squadron's open air pavilion. The setting is scenic (surrounded by sailboats and Sarasota Bay), the atmosphere is relaxed and the folk and acoustic talent is the finest in the state and the nation. The open mike is a mix of local/traveling, amateur/pro, folk artists/song writers; always a surprise. Concerts are held the last Monday of the month, except May and December, which are held on the third Monday. In case of inclement weather, the concerts are held inside the club house. Refreshments, including light snacks, beer, wine and sodas are available in the club house before the 8:30 feature. Seating is limited, so arrive early or bring a chair. In the summer months please remember your bug spray! No pets please. These concerts are free and open to the public. In order to cover the Folk Club expenses and bring to our community these talented, top of the line folk and acoustic performers, we pass the hat, and suggest a ten dollar donation. We gratefully accept any donation you can afford to give. Since we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization all your donations are tax deductible.
