The shows are free and the public is invited to attend; a tip jar will be available for patrons to show their appreciation. Folk music will be prevalent, and performers might also play a mix of genres including bluegrass, country, swing, blues, pop and soft rock, similar to the content of the Sunday concerts at Sarasota Book-A-Million. Other Events Sunday Building on the success of its Friday evening folk circle jams, the Sarasota Books-A-Million store at Gulfgate Mall (off Route 41 and Clark Road) has arranged to host a series of Sunday afternoon 2-hour free concerts at the store. The concerts will be held from 2 4 pm every Sunday afternoon and the public is invited to attend. Folk music will be prevalent, and performers may also play a mix of genres including bluegrass, country, swing, blues, pop and soft rock, similar to the content of the Friday night jam circles. It is a potluck affair, so bring some food and brews!!!!! Sarah also has a wonderful garden in her backyard, so if you are a plant buff you are in for a real treat (plus, she is VERY generous with her plants, and if she has something that strikes your fancy you can probably get a clipping or two).
